Shaikh Abdul Haqw Muhaddith Dihlawi (d. 1052/1642) has been considered as one of the revivalists of Islam. He had a huge role in promoting hadith studies in the subcontinent. He had penned a detailed collection of his ijazat from five of his teachers: Shaikh Abdul Wahab Muttaqi, Shaikh Ali bin Jarullah Makki, Shaikh Ahmed bin Abi al-Haram Madani, Shaikh Hameeduddin Sindhi, and Shaikh Abdul Wahab Baroji. The editor Asadullah Khan spent eleven years researching each name in this collection of ijazas. This book is the result.
