About a dozen musnads have been compiled that contian the ahadith narrated by Imam Abu Hanifa. Among them the one compiled by Imam Abu Na'eem Ahmad ibn Abdullah al-Isbahan is significant for Isbahani was a Shafii scholar. This edition has been produced with painstaking research by Dr. Muhammad Abdul Shaheed Nomani from the musnad of Isbahani.
